Ingredients:

    Crumble

  • 2 1/2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 1/2 cups (packed) golden brown sugar
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) chilled unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • Filling

  • 4 pounds large Granny Smith apples, peeled, halved, cored, each half cut into 6 slices
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • Preheat oven to 375°F

Mix oats, 1 cup sugar, and flour in bowl. Now add the butter and mix well with your fingertips until the crumble becomes moist clumps.

Using whole butter, coat a 13×9x2-inch glass baking dish. Mix apples, cinnamon, and 1/2 cup brown sugar in bowl. Pour this mixture into your buttered dish and sprinkle the crumble topping over.

    Bake for 55 minutes.

Top with your appropriate vanilla ice cream.
